In a lot of art, and in society in general, the standard is right-handedness. Being left-handed, I've always appreciated seeing it represented in art, especially in scenes of combat. I've played very few video games where you could wield a weapon in your left hand at all, and I can't think of a single one where you wield left-handed as the default. I realize that it often has to do with the limitations of the game's animation/coding, but it doesn't make me want it any less.
In Magic: The Gathering, It's often felt like the art catered primarily to right-handedness as well, but I recently came across a card with a left-handed sword-bearer (Righteousness) that made me pause. It seemed so novel and uncommon to me that I was delighted, but then asked myself "Are there other left-handed warriors in Magic? There's gotta be." Thus, whilst sipping my coffee this morning, I started at the beginning to look at every card for left-handed folks being depicted.
It turns out, my guess that there wasn't many was completely wrong. I'm compiling a list of each card on my phone (in ascending set order), and I intend to make some sort of gallery on this page once I figure out how to do so. I won't show every single card, as there's a vast multitude and several are ambiguous or unclear. It'll likely end up being more of a 'highlight reel' than a full exact list.
